Default Drag and drop works, but insert media file freezes
Insert>media file (.mid .wav) results in nothing happening. UI does nothing, mouse clicks on things results in an hour glass, white screen.

Drag and drop = works as expected.

Empty/new project, existing project same behavior.

FWIW, working fine here on Win10/REAPER v6.29/x64.

Maybe try a clean portable install or disable extensions, FX, background scripts, etc. ?
