Default CSI and Reapinger with BCF2000 - not working

I followed the installation instructions as per John Tidey's video and the documentation.

Reaper sees Reapinger-BCF2000.mst and Reapinger-BCF2000 but when selected from the dropdown list, there is zero response from my BCF2000.

However, I get a response from the BCF2000 if I select MCU.mst and MCU.

Does anyone have any suggestion as to why Reapinger-BCF2000.mst isn't working for me? I'd really like to have this working.

Thanks in advance.

Default Update

I uninstalled CSI v 1.1 and then installed CSI 1.0. Track faders, panning and with controls now working but I'm not getting any response from any FX parameters.

Oh well, at least some of it now works.

That indicates to me that you were using the CSI v1.0 files in CSI v1.1. There were changes to the file structure and syntax in CSI v1.1 that would need to be applied to those older files.

I thought I saw that Jon had made those changes and submitted a pull request but maybe you still ended up with the old files somehow.

For FX to work in CSI, you need to have mapping files for the FX and a way to activate the FX zones. I'm not familiar with the files you're using, but I just wanted to point out it's not something that just works with any FX unless someone has already done the legwork for you.

If you need specific CSI help like:

1. How do I update the CSI v1 files to work in v1.1? You can find that info here:

https://github.com/GeoffAWaddington/...on-1.1-Changes

2. How to map FX is covered here:

https://github.com/GeoffAWaddington/.../wiki/FX-Zones

3. How to activate FX's is covered here at the bottom of the same page.

...worst case, go to the CSI Device Setup thread and someone will help you out.

Thanks very much for the reply Funkybot.

I have updated to v1.1 and everything is working now, including FX - I tried reacomp and works OK.

Now I have to learn how to set it up for my particular FX plugins - so thanks for providing the link to do that.

You've been a great help - thanks a lot.

Me again!

All was going marvellously well. I've successfully added lots of FX parameters.

And then, suddenly last night ................ it stopped working.

So, from the BCF2000 I can select the plugin I want to work with. But the controls (which were working until last night) now have no effect on the parameter.

What is weird, I set up 2 mute buttons and rotary 8, to control the Reaper bypass and Reaper Delta and control the Reaper Dry/Wet and these 3 controls still work.

Weird nr2 - when I move an FX parameter with my mouse, the corresponding button/fader/rotary on the BCF moves.

So, it looks like somehow the BCF is only receiving messages from the plugin but can't send them.

Appreciate any help on this - I'd love to get it working again.

Thanks.

Must be one of those mysteries
