This looks fantastic! Do you think you'd be able to extend it to work in beats/bars for more musical variations?

That is a great idea. I guess I should consider it. It should not be hard to implement.

This looks like a solid compilations of existing randomization scripts (for eg some SWS stuffs, my shuffle scripts and spk77 ones ) into a unified and clean GUI... NICE !!

It seems your radiations are relative randomization (random range within an init value), I think it could be interesting to have more randomization control over distribution (like the Gaussian approx in spk77 script) so that the scripts become even more powerful.
If could be a mode toggle per parameter, which would extend the number of sliders for that parameter (actually, only mean and distribution sliders are needed for gaussian approx).

"If you would like to test it you can apply with the link below."

You could save this question, who does not want to test anything in this forum? Cubase users maybe.

Thanks for showing what you are developing, looks interesting, we can watch your youtube videos.

I have a great idea, but will wait until this is openly published for anyone. (I hope I will not forget this idea again, hehe)

Could it be possible that your script generates variations for the item's position on the grid (with a selectable grid value)?

I want to have a controlled group to get feedback at this point.
After that I may share it with everyone.

This looks amazing. I hope it can be dialed in to do some similar randomizations to what wwise soundseed does for example.

I wish I had some sfx work to test it on right now. I struggle with testing software in simulated scenarios.

Totally reminds me of SoundWeaver, but somehow looks better, because yours is integrated into Reaper, basically, haha. Nice one! Keep it up and keep us all informed.

Hello,

My main FR were
  • unity on scales (for some it is.not obvious)
  • rate adjustement made from snap offset position, and bug fix there to crrect as it shift item content which is not expected.

I had to process some variations recently but I had to make my own things,

Indeed, this script offers for now only "offsets" variation (onerandomization slider per value),
where I needed "random between min and max values" (which is a way to control distribution in a target area).
Less sophiscicated than mean + deviation, but just to point that there could be several randomization modes:

  • random offset from current value within a certain range (one slider, current version)
  • set random value between mix and max (need two sliders, doesn't care about current value)
  • deviation + mean (two sliders as well)

This will make the script fits even more cases.

I just wanted to chime in to this and say this is amazing work! If I had seen this sooner I would have definitely tried to sign me and my team up as this could become a core tool!! Do you know when this might be ready for an initial release?
