Not visible on my computer is what they are:

I'll see if I can't figure it out, or see it on my Windows box.

I should have mentioned that. I'm seeing it on Windows 10.

For anyone experiencing the 'small fixed lane buttons on Retina displays' issue, it's a REAPER bug. It appears to affect any V5+ theme without HiDPI elements, but with custom images for lanes.

https://forum.cockos.com/showpost.ph...3&postcount=30

I've reported it, hopefully someone will take a look at some point.

v1.7.4-beta.7 is up (or on the beta channel on ReaPack):
  • improve MIDI editor colors (wrt marker visibility)
  • update TCP fixed lane graphics for v7
  • fix transport artifact on Windows
  • fix some warnings

Is it possible to draw borders in the MIDI notes when coloring by Track? Currently, it only shows the border when it's selected, but in the other modes, there's always a border and a selected note changes the border color to white.

This appears to be a REAPER limitation -- I've cycled through a bunch of themes and color maps and it's the same everywhere AFAICT. I agree that it merits a FR (add contrasting border for Track/Media Item color views).

Hi J, just saw this, it can be done in v7. Not so long ago, the theme colors have been supplemented with note color overrides. Here's an example, note the settings for coloring by track/media:

Oh that's very cool, thanks for the tip. The muted colors don't work for me, but selected/unselected is working perfectly. I'll update the theme to add something there.

Thanks for the update. Still my favorite with the small MCP with a fader. Just the best.

Personally not a fan of this style of folder indication in the mcp. As long as there is an option to keep the bottom flat and even I'll be happy!

Yes, this will just be a layout option for those who want/need it.

I generally don't, but I recently was working on a complex (for my modest usage) project and the flat layout was killing me. Anyway, options are nice.

It would be nice if the panning left and right were of different colors, I drew it myself, but I have to replace the files every time after the update. Besides, suddenly there are people who would also like something like this...

P.S. sorry, I forgot that there are also folder strips in the archive

Not so into a color gradient for pan personally. Good thing I update relatively rarely! :-)

Hey Sockmonkey - I want to see if you would consider this change...

On the MCP, TCP, and Master I've change the peak readout font color and to my eyes it is much more readable. I've changed all instances of this:

set mcp.meter.readout.color [127 153 0 255 48 48 48 255] ;[127 153 179 255 48 48 48 255]

to:

set mcp.meter.readout.color [1 254 46 255 48 48 48 255] ;[127 153 179 255 48 48 48 255]

Makes the peak readout a nice green color.

Still my favorite theme and if you don't agree no big deal. I also replace the toolbar icons with blue ones I found to match the blue of the transport play button.

Thanks for keeping it alive.

Nice, thanks. I'll make this change for the next update.
