Default the old mute between VSTi and VST...

I do on the fly dub breaks style mixes.

Without setting up moar channels to do stuff could we get a mute button that is between the VSTi synth and the VST fx delay?
That is simply all I need really.

but wait there is moar:

Can I set up a channel mute that does not kill the VSTi it simply mutes the audio. VSTi's freakign out when I unmute them is ..a passion killer.

Thanks!

me. xxx

Default

In the Reaper configuration (ctrl-p) you can set track mute to stop audio processing in that track to save CPU or not (default ist "stop").

Is that what you mean ?
