Crash when saving new project

I had this happen twice today. Starting a new project, had a MIDI track, 2 or 3 guitar tracks, go to save and my iMac crashes and reboots. Just in case this is a Reaper thing I'm posting here since I've never had this happen prior to the latest version.

Using Reaper 6.78
On a 27" iMac 6 core, running Big Sur OS 11.5.1

There is a Line6 driver involved.
Sure it is updated ?

Yep, all drivers are up to date, but thanks for the suggestion. I actually reverted back to the previous version of Reaper and it stopped. Once the next version came out I tried that and no problems. Go figure.
