Default Pre Set Virtual Instrument Keyswitch and Mod Wheel Positions

Maybe this is impossible, but I'm hoping to:

Set my virtual instrument the way I want it in the middle of a song
example: Strings Tremolo, CC11(dynamics) set at 100

hit record and GO with the same sound/volume I've been hearing as I
practice the part

The way it behaves now:

Sound is set the way I want it

Hit record, and the instrument defaults to previously set keyswitch and
CC11 values (UNLESS I TRIGGER NEW CC AND KEYSWITCH EVENTS WHILE RECORDING)

which means that I have to either create a region and write in the changes manually, or set recording to 2 bars early and do a bunch of fancy switching and volume adjusting before I enter.

Hopefully this is clear, but please let me know if it is not.

Always grateful for the community here and the responses that I get! Thanks!

It's a virtual instrument, so you're recording MIDI right?
I would just put a CC event set to 100 - right before where you want to record. Just put it in manually, or wiggle a MIDI controller (set for CC11) and use your mouse to make it to 100.

Then when you record, everything will be the way you want it...
