Default Time ruler showing source position of your video/audio clips - great built in feature

With apologies to those who already know..

There's a great feature that seemingly few know about.

"Item properties: Display item source time ruler" allows you to switch on/off a ruler for selected item showing the source position.

I've assigned that action to a keyboard key and I'm finding it so useful when editing. I turn it on before I start chopping up a video file and then it gives a better visual indicator of original timings.

Used with the modifier keys that allow you slip & slide the source position in scope in an item it can make it a lot

It seems really useful to locate and line-up items and can help make REAPER feel more video edit friendly for those missing thumbnails and working with timing references all day.

Hope it helps someone!

Cheers,

Drew
