Default DecentSampler Mac version OK in Reaper-High Sierra?

https://www.decentsamples.com/produc...ampler-plugin/

There are questions about monolith sample playback in Pro Tools that works in Mojave, but not in High Sierra, so I thought maybe a Reaper verification could be educational/practical? The DecentSampler linux vst3i version plays them fine in DecentSampler format, these in particular

FamilyGrand, ClaustrophobicPiano and AutumnPiano working OK, but not in High Sierra Pro Tools

https://www.pianobook.co.uk/library/...ophobic-piano/ DS Kontakt

https://www.pianobook.co.uk/library/autumn-piano/ DS Kontakt SFZ

(AutumnPiano is over 4 gig, the other two are 1 gig territory)

Anyway, any experiences would be appreciated, and as an aside, Pianobook
has almost 600 soundsets, most for Kontakt or exs24, but many in DecentSampler format, courtesy of David Hillowitz, and perhaps others, and some in SFZ, so hope you find some keepers for your efforts, or just because you make great music!

The issue in this case was solved by turning on disk streaming. I would have assumed either ram or streaming would work across the board, given enough ram, but on at least some monolith samples, streaming is required. Playback from ram works in linux Reaper on most of the sounds. On my linux Reaper, DecentSampler prefs tickboxes for auto and streaming were on by default. After turning them off and ticking ram instead, the above mentioned instruments were silent, and returned to working order after reversing the settings, and reloading the sounds. So not stricktly a pro-tools issue.

Any chance the monolith sample format requires an extreme amount of ram to function without streaming, or requires contiguous free ram?
Cheers
