Default Musical notation editor - add tablature notation

I really love the notation editor and switched from writing music in Guitar Pro to Reaper. Since I record everything in Reaper, this saves me a lot of time.

The notation editor works really well, but standard notation is quite tricky to read for electric guitar. The TuxGuitar plugin can be used to view tabs, but this is an external editor and does not allow direct playback.

The notation editor already contains treble and bass clefs in several varieties, and percussion. Would it be possible to add tabs as well? The notation with treble clef on the top and tab below it works great for me.

For the same reason as you, I would love a tablature feature.

Isn't tab notation conceptually different from staff notation because a tab contains fingering information and staff notation does not? In other words, a tab instructs you how to play a piece which is not a goal of notation (although when written music is published there are often fingerings added by the editor or the composer). How does TuxGuitar handle this?
