Default Reainsert issue --> it's a misbehavior! plese devs fix!

I have an issue with the PING function in Reainsert... I don't know why but it works on channels 1, 2, 7, 8 but not on channels 3 to 6...

I can see from the meters on my interface (Zen Tour Antelope) that a short signal is sent to the tracks (when selecting 1, 2, 7 or 8) but no signal is sent if REAINSERT output is set to the other tracks...

Nevertheless when I play audio through those channel, audio passes through ok (so actually audio get sent without issues out from channels 3 to 6). It's just the ping function not... umhh ... "pinging" through those channels

anyone? could you devs check if this issue has been introduced recently? I remember it was working months ago...

Windows 10 64bit Reaper 5.70 here, 16gb RAM

EDIT: I FOUND OUT THE ISSUE!! THE PING SIGNAL PASSES THROUGH THE MONITOR FX!! HIGHLY UNEXPECTED!! AND I HAD A PLUGIN THAT WAS CONFIGURED NOT TO PASS THROUGH CANNELS 3 TO 6 THAT'S WHY PING DIDN'T WORK ON THOSE CHANNELS. TURNING OFF "MONITOR FX" SOLVED THE PROBLEM

SOLUTION: AVOID REAINSERT PING SIGNAL TO PASS THORUGH THE MONITOR FX (IT'S USELESS + THE SIGNAL COULD BE MODIFIED DEPENDING ON WHICH PLUGS ARE IN THE MONITOR FX PATH)

New data point here:
if I set the master output to hardware ch 2 and 3, it plays only ch 2 (full stereo signal) but when the metronome click plays it plays into both channels... only the music (after the count-in metronome) get stuck in channel 3...

does Reaper plays the metronome click differently than the actual mix? why it goes through channel 3 and the music not?

EDIT: tested with Band-in-a-Box and it is able to send output on ch 3 and 4, same with windows driver. Reaper seems unable to send HW out to ch 3 to 6 (but metronome click yes... and reainsert output yes, but ping not)
ouch!

Can someone plz test?

Yoyo--oh well maybe it's because metronome click can goto any output you select,or it can play thru your monitoring fx chain-- try checking all you routings, especially the pin in's + out's. yayayaablaa.
Media explorer also has output options,so users can set up headphone cues or w/e while they browse audios.. =)
