Default Mouse and key "position awareness"

Mouse and Key commands should have a way of knowing and distinguishing between which area of Reaper is active

For instance, if I am messing with the vertical mixer and I hit ctrl-a, all the events light up. I would expect to see the faders light up

I click on the master fader in the horizontal mixer, then hold control and hit the arrows. Instead of the master fader going, the channel fader moved.

I think the selection behaviour may need to be looked at to make this all go smooth. It gets tricky to deselect things sometimes

Yep, I experience the same problem. The focus doesn't seem to be changing to the correct area.
