I a, fully with you. I can do all the basics. Then when I want to learn a new trick, my brain melts. And everytime I decide i need to learn something harder.

Unless you are a professional musician or producer, you only have to learn what you need to make the music that's in your heart. I am an amateur and know maybe 2% of all that is possible in Reaper but it's all I need to do what I want. Maybe somebody who watches me recording tells me that it can be done in fewer steps, much easier, but hey, it's my hobby!

That's exactly what I am. So I need to learn the software inside and out. I still use my former DAW (SONAR) for existing projects at this point, but Reaper needs to become the main DAW soon as possible. Lots to learn for a guy like me, but I love the challenge!

Just start watching the Kenny Gioia video's and you will be up and running very soon. Have fun!

Been doing that all along. My post is just a humorous statement on how robust Reaper is, all the options and features. Wish I had more time each day to spend learning.
