Default How to sidechain two times?

I use to do parallel compression just by copying everything and blending the compressed channel with the original. Now I send the track into another track with compression and I can't figure out how to sidechain the bass to the kick now.

Whenever I both send them to 3/4, obviously only one of them works. I tried 5/6 but it's not working. Do I send it to a mono track because bass should be in the center anyway?

My knowledge of all that sending receiving stuff is very limited and it's probably extremely easy.

Not making much sense....why would you sidechain 2 times?

If you are parallel compressing the bass for some reason, then feed both bass channels to one group/folder and insert the sidechain compressor there.

If you aren't parallel comping the bass you need to explain the problem with some specifics.

Depending on the on the routing input capabilities on the latter instance, you might need to route 5+6 to 3+4.

did you also check the plugin specific sidechain inputs? They obviously need to be set to 5/6 as well

Hello fenrir and welcome to these forums. You'll find many helpful people here and a lot of useful information. Make sure that you:
The simplest way to do parallel compression is adjust the wet dry knob just above the plug-in GUI.

My bad for the wrong terminology. I meant ducking the bass to the kickdrum and setting up another receive channel to the master drum track for parallel compression. I realized there’s an FX dry/mix knob, so I don’t really need to set up two receiving channels at the moment.
