Default Reaper Stuck at Blue Circle...

Hi,

Not sure if this is the right thread for this question. I had done a brief search but didn't see this issue discussed. However, I have been accused of not seeing things that are right in front of me...

Reaper had been working without issue until yesterday, I double clicked, the logo panel came up, could see it going through the "loading process" and then it "said" loading new song and that's where it hangs up with the spinning blue circle.

If I click on any where on the screen I get the "program not responding" message

I have run virus/malware scans, did a registry clean, did chkdsk/f, and still had errors after doing this twice, uninstalled reaper, reinstalled reaper, a number of times, opened the firewall, confirmed ASIO4ALL was installed. My interface was on AND connected.

Still getting the blue circle.

Any assistance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Tx,
KC

Default

sounds like its stuck on a plugin.

Try loading a different project or loading a template first.

Once you're in reaper you can go to File - Open
Then check the box at the bottom for recovery mode with fx offline.

Default Fixed for now...

Thanks for the reply! I had checked that but it seemed - not sure if this was the actual solution - but firewall/security settings seemed to be the issue.
