Default Port VST settings to VST3?

Hi there.
I uninstalled the VST version of the plugin, and installed the VST3 version of the plugin.
Problem is, my projects are still looking for the "VST" version, so they don't load the plugin (says "effect configuration is preserved").

Anyway I could port that configuration to the VST3 version of the plugin? Or even make my projects load the VST3 version with that configuration by default?
Thanks!

You might be able to do that by editing the project file itself and changing the plug-in names. It nearly goes without saying, make a back-up copy first.

Was there a particular problem with the vst2 version that made you need to swap to vst3?

Nothing really...
I just reinstalled windows, and reinstalled my plugins. So, while reinstalling them, i thought, i might as well go VST3 on this one...

OK...so in your place I would keep it simple and just install the vst2 for old projects.

You could always hide it in the plugin browser if you want to avoid using in new projects.
