Yes, they do, but in the Reaper 5 way, which means that only parts of the panels are colored, not the whole of them.

In this update, I allowed the coloring of the track labels in the MCP panels and a narrow strip on the right of the TCP ones.
I hate to be a pita - I really do. But, I've just dl'd the latest version and it does not take any color anywhere.

The coloring is done via layouts, the default display in both TCP and MCP being the uncolored one of the previous versions. Looking at the layouts lists, you should see several - colored ones.

They work as expected, here, so let me know how things are on your end.

Ahh-HA! I've never seen it done that way before. Very cool.

Thanks for your help, and as I've said previously, thanks for this very excellent work.

This is becoming my primary theme. You've done an incredible job at capturing the 'feel' of the studios that I first started recording in, way back in the mid 1960's. Thank you.

This looks sweet. cubic13, are you still updating this? I selfishly ask because I'd want my theme to be a long relationship. ;-)

Hi, Tommy

Yes, I will probably update it in one or two months. I am finishing something else, presently, but it is taking me more time than expected.

Concerning Abbey Road I was thinking, among others, about getting rid of the red color of both label and index when the track is selected and, maybe, trying to reduce several graphic objects to make it more usable with small monitors. But this implies a lot of graphic work, so...

Meanwhile, if you have any suggestion...

Default AbbeyRoad2 is in the stash...

... and actually, it's a scaled down version of the old one, as most of the controls and backgrounds have been reduced to allow a more comfortable use of this theme with, at least, 1080 vertical resolution monitors. This, with added enhancements :

- a more achieved tcp and transport bar managements, with several adjustments made here and there.
- a correction of the 'hide' control behavior for the envelope panels with narrow heights.
- Several redesigned gen controls, with the addition of dedicated table ones.
- Few additions and changes concerning the bundled toolbars.
- the implementation of recently added theming features (_norec files...).

Overall it's an almost completely redesigned version, from which the new entry in the stash. I keep for now the initial 1.x version in it but will no longer update it, this one taking its place.

The related link is in the updated first post of this thread. Hope some of you will enjoy using this theme...

Thanks, +NRG. It's appreciated...

Beside this, there is a little bug concerning the master track in the arrangement window : when narrowing the width of its panel, the volume control changes too late its shape from a fader to a knob. I'll include the fix for a future update. In the meantime, it is solvable this way :

1) Change the AbbeyRoad2 theme file (the .ReaperThemeZip one) extension to .zip, Unzip it and open the rtconfig.txt file, which is in the AbbeyRoad2 images folder, with a raw text editor such as Notepad++.
2) Edit the line #280 from this :
Code:
set master.tcp.volume.fadermode w<375 [1] [-1]
to get this :
Code:
set master.tcp.volume.fadermode w<390 [1] [-1]
3) Save the editing done and rezip both the .ReaperTheme file and the images folder together and put back to the resulting file the .ReaperThemeZip extension again.

Still wondering how I didn't see this one...

Thanks, silksow . I'll probably upload an update in the days (or weeks) to come that will solve, of course, the issue described in the post #132.

Actually, I also don't like the color I first choosed for the MIDI editor background : if there is any suggestion for it...

Default AbbeyRoad2 (v 2.10) is in the stash...

A little update which mainly fixes two bugs, both involving the tcp master track and were in need of a quick solution, I think :
- When narrowing the panel, the volume control was changing too late its shape from a fader to a knob.
- On the default layout, the vertical meter was displayed 18 pixels too far on the right, making it almost invisible.

Beside this :
- few little graphic changes on some controls,
- some color changes in the main window and in the MIDI editor,
- addition of two icons for the Toolbar1. From which, this one should be updated as well as the theme file.

Let me know if some things are still misbehaving. Thanks...

Hi Cubic
I like the graphic work in this theme.
One small problem I have noticed (sorry if it was mentioned already but I have not read the thread ) Project Save toolbar icon - Has save occured? Could it flash green on registering command or something? Mouse click button state action.

(I admit I have not used this theme much but I did check out earlier version and admired it's tonality/lines and your vision.)

Thanks

Hi, prom

You're right, I didn't pay attention enough about this, I admit. So, could you test this again with the attached graphic file of this post ? Just in case, here is how to do so :

1) unzip the AbbeyRoad2.ReaperThemeZip file. You should have an AbbeyRoad2.ReaperTheme file and an AbbeyRoad2 folder which contains all the graphic files.
2) In the latter, replace the existing toolbar_save.png file with the one attached in this post.
3) Rezip BOTH the AbbeyRoad2 folder and the AbbeyRoad2.ReaperTheme file together and change the extension of the resulting zip file to .ReaperThemeZip again.
4) Place it back in the \ColorThemes subfolder of your Reaper installation.

Let me know if the icon works as expected. HTWH...

Hi Cubic

Yes, that png did the trick.

Button does now indicate save action clearly when selected/clicked.

Thank you!
