Reaper v5.65pre17/x64
Windows 10 Pro x64
Hello,
- New Reaper project in 4/4 time signature; start playback
- Select Options > Metronome/pre-roll settings...
- Enable the metronome (default pattern of 'ABBB')
- Set both Primary and Secondary beat levels to the same value (eg -6.25dB)
- Bug #1: the primary beat is louder than the secondary (primary is -6.25dB, secondary is -12.5dB); they should both have identical levels
- Reduce the Primary beat's level to -inf
- Bug #2: both primary and secondary beats are silenced; only the primary beat should be silenced and the user should still hear the metronome clicks on the secondary beats of 2, 3 and 4
Also, slight naming inconsistency: under the same Metronome Settings, the first slider reads "Primary beat
volume", whereas the other reads "Secondary beat
gain" (both should use the term 'gain')
The manual (v 5.60d, page 58) reads:
"Primary beat volume: This determines how loud is the metronome volume.
Secondary beat gain: The amount by which the volume of secondary beats will be adjusted."
Surely the primary beat volume should "determine how loud
the primary beat is."
Hope this helps
