As far I can figure out this would only happen when your timebase is "Time" instead of "Beats (position, length, rate)". Can you elaborate a bit more on the project in question or why you are using that timebase? How are you changing the tempo? Markers? BPM box?

I hwve a drum midi track that is set to beats (position length rate) the rest of the tracks are set to project timebase. I like to be able to audition my drums at differnt tempi. I change the tempo in the bpm box.
