Hi im setting up to record and I want to record in stereo but the message box is saying not enough inputs

Have you checked preferences for your audio device to ensure all the inputs are enabled and routed properly? Do you have your tracks assigned to the correct inputs? We will need more info before we can assist you.

You need to ensure your audio inputs are set up correctly (Otions, Prefs, Audio Device, and that the trcak iinputs are correctly defined (Right click on red button in track panel, Input stereo, thenj select channels (usually 1/2)

You might find the first three chapters of the free user guide and the free videos on setting up for recording helpful.

What hardware do you have? i.e. One regular microphone or one instrument is (usually) mono.

Or if you are using regular Windows hardware & drivers you may have to configure Windows for stereo.
