Default Reaper 5.62 64Bit - VST Plugins Not Working

Hi guys

I'm having some head scratching moments at the moment. I've just re-installed Windows 10 64bit and I have been going through setting up my audio stuff.

I am using Reaper 5.62 64bit, Scarlett 2i2 Interface - with a guitar going into it. Simple set up.

The VSTs I have tried are BIAS FX, S-Gear 2, TC Electronics Polytune.

I've created a new project, added a track, armed it, selected FX and selected my VST plugins. When I play the guitar, I can see the monitor indicators react as normal - so signal going in fine... however, none of the VST effects are added. I can only hear a dry guitar.

Close Reaper down, load up the native apps for the plugins and whammo - they work fine.

ASIO selected correct and input/ouputs set correctly too.

I've completely removed Reaper and the software and reinstalled - same issue. It's driving me potty lol

Any ideas?

Thanks guys

Is Input Monitoring also set up correctly on the Track? https://www.reaper.fm/videos.php#iLC1HjLXLd0

Does adding the plugin this way makes any difference?

1) Insert > Virtual instrument on new Track ...
2) Select the FX from the list
3) Change the Track input to your guitar

Otherwise can you maybe attach a screenshot (of the current Track settings, etc.) or the .RPP project file to a post? https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=140670
