hello dear devs I want to remind about the implementation of pre-delay on tracks(eg as in cubase) because all orchestral libraries has a delay. I've already tired to move items thanks

Insert Time Adjustement Delay [Delay/time_adjustement] into the track's FX chain and put the desired time in ms.

I just did an improved version of same plugin to be released via ReaPack. You can set the delay as well in +/- mSec as in +/- samples to allow for sliders in lower higher resolution at the same time. Can be set to Setreo or dual Mono.
Hoping to re-find out how to do the releasing in the weekend.

Why not ? Placing the delay after the Midi->Audio conversion should work as expected.
I even know that somebody successfully used it for syncing with external software.

Here, If i will insert this js into legato strings track, It will not work. Only will help shift the item as on the picture.

Request: add support for reading this log from ReaScript (and of course keep it internally periodically updated with timestamps). Same for incoming MIDI messages from all devices. So scripters can parse log in the way they need. The log probably can grow way big, so I guess somehing like 2Mb buffer optionally enabled can be pretty enough for this.
Advantages: - (OSC/MIDI) allow set learn or different MIDI-related parameters from ReaScript (ex. mpl_Export selected items to RS5k instances on selected track (drum mode).lua, there is no way to get base note from keyboard)
- (MIDI) allow to code retrospective record without additional JSFX-based workarounds as eugen2771 did.
- anything else currently with need to be hardly digged into Default.ReaperOSC
Thanks.

Noticed this in pre 13 too. Partial time sig/wrong number of beats created when changing time sig for ramped section.
start-0:01 - Change time sig from 2/4 to 3/4
0:02 - Unset "Set time signature" box for second point
(
Doing this as more than 1 step process seems to work in this simple project. By that I mean
1. Set "gradually transition..." disabled
2. Change time signature from 2/4 to 3/4
3. Set "gradually transition..." enabled
)
Note the item/track envelopes lose grid relationship in first half.
The change of last TS marker/point is just a little extra detail.
-------------------------------------------
P.S.
Paste of beat based track envelope points does not work with time selection copy (CTRL SHIFT C) the same as paste with regular copy (CTRL C) on ramping tempo slope. It appears to be based on absolute time or something other than grid.

Snap weird in vicinity of tempo points.
Region/edit cursor/item/envelope points similar.
Behaves better away from points.
Maybe dependent somewhat on zoom or scroll position.
----Only if nitpicking invisible grid lines, etc.
----Behavior almost always similar.
Time selection won't snap to tempo points (or invisible grid lines in vicinity of tempo points that are where 16/32/64th note grid lines would be if visible) if snap: []selection to grid is disabled, but...
Action to copy/move region to edit cursor would help with this, but I imagine it will be fixed. Those actions would help with copy/move over long distances/at far out zoom levels at any rate. It could be confined to non-customizable region right click menu if necessary. Could be grayed out if invalid for some reason, but there's less of those nowadays. Should not be much to code I would think?

If I change points 3 and 4 to 1/4 before using
Envelope: Delete all selected points
point 5 won't move.

with this pre, I have a hard time changing the size of the ruler to show more or less lanes... what changed?
I used to get a cursor near the bottom of the ruler to drag it more or less open for the region and marker lanes... now I get nothing there so have to resort to the actions list... ugh!
also I can't get reaper to recognize regions properly.... for example:
I have a 4 bar region and within that also a 2 bar region...
I should be able to db clk the 2 bar region and have a time selection show up... but it does not... instead it shows up for the 4 bar region
also I should be able select and move just the two bar region... but can't..
instead it operation on the 4 bar region...
all this was working much better previously
win7 64 bit.. reaper 64 bit
EDIT PS.... IF and only IF I set the ruler to maximum height, so I get the regions in lanes... does it work as expected
but it used to work with the ruler at default height

hopi in pre 9,an option was mentioned for allowing that, but I never found it. You can still drag an area at the toolbar border. If there is no option, that is preferable to me personally. I don't want that hit zone getting in my way during far more common actions. (The hit zone at the start of midi items in editor bugs me like that. I just want to put the cursor there more often. They could allow a click to do that there.) maybe something more advanced can be made for the ruler resize function too. Put it in mouse modifiers maybe. I don't think it should interfere with default drag action either.
Can't check the mouse focus complaint, but sounds like you have a good point. I'm on same os and version. Will try later

The option is in Preferences/Editing Behavior/Mouse.
(also you can resize via the border between the toolbar and TCP)

I can confirm that when they are overlapping, as in minimized view, mouse penetrates the shorter region to affect the longer one. Seems bad to me too.
-----------------------------------------------
A modifier double click to set time selection (Control Shift?) would be useful with play/skip time selection.

What exactly is supposed to happen when double clicked? Example, set to max height and then double click, the height changes, after about 4th double click it doesn't do anything anymore.

I'm just zooming in a bit. Circle moves to tempo that belongs to time signature. I have changed font to Microsoft Sans Serif Bold 10. Script Western.

BUG: Gradually Transition Tempo Change
This bug applies to all the 5.65 pres where a meter change can be added independently of a tempo change.
Steps to Reproduce:
1) Insert tempo change and check the "gradually transition tempo to next marker" box
2) Insert new tempo change two bars later
3) Insert meter change 1 bar after the first tempo change
Result: The gradual tempo transition has been erased and cannot be re-added unless the meter change between the two tempo markers is deleted.

Just in case (cross-post) Sorry...
[shift.gif - Google Drive]
If it is possible… When using gradual tempo changes the tempo markers still lose connection to the grid with regions...

Of course it's OT, do any of bullet points in this whole prerelease cycle have any relation to what you're talking about? Nope.

That's by design. It's not allowed to have a time signature change marker within a gradual tempo transition, unless the time signature change marker also sets the tempo.
The reason is that it creates a dependent relationship between multiple automation points. Editing either of the tempo transition end points would force the time signature change to move, and vice versa.

While I understand what you are saying, there is still a bug/flaw in the fact that even after putting in the new meter change, one still cannot go back and re-do the gradual tempo transition between the two tempo events. At that point, the new meter has already been established and Reaper should be able to re-calculate the tempo transition. Yes, I get the reason why adding a new meter event breaks it, but not being able to re-do it once the new meter has been added is certainly not a desired outcome and severely limits the user. Furthermore, a time signature change can only occur at the beginning of a bar, so one would think the calculation could be done without moving the time signature.

Well, this is not true.
When you have inserted a time signature marker, you can move the it by holding shift at the same time to any position and thus the previous bar will be incomplete.
Although, just discovered that this might be not possible anymore with V5.65pre15.
