Default Don't laugh! Trigger Finger Pro and syncing Reaper. Help me...help me.........

Ok so you decided you wanted some entertainment watching a noob twisting in the wind. Fair enough, I can understand that. In my defense it was a deal that was so good I couldn't say no. Last weekend I bought an M-Audio Trigger Finger Pro brand new in box, unregistered and everything for $76. And I have to say I freaking love this thing. It's so sparkly and cool looking and the software library is redonculous (it's a word, honest). I struggled through the lousy install and even found the USB driver that you absolutely need but they don't tell you about. It's a bit delicate and it's crashed my Windows 10 system more times than I care to think about. But if you don't dick around with it, it stays stable. Arsenal standalone works perfectly and it's a great beat making tool although strangely there's no audio record on the output. Even in Reaper the controller pad and the surface controls can be used properly. No the first problem is when you tell Reaper that it's a Mackie control surface and it doesn't believe you. It throws up a little window that tells you it can't find it but oddly the transport/faders/pots work fine and it's definitely doing it via Mackie protocol. I turned off the message. The real problem is that I can't/don't know how to get the TFP step sequencer running.

Obviously the TFP clock has to be slaved to Reaper to get it to sync properly so this is what I've done so far.

Set the TFP Clock to remote. Load patch 10 Mackie protocol. Turned Reaper/Options/Preferences enable and clock output in the MIDI Devices for both the TFP MIDI device and the TFP Mackie device.

Press Play. Reaper runs but the TFP Sequencer doesn't run. Press Play on the TFP and Reaper runs but no Sequencer.

Download vVIMTC Generator and try to follow instructions but obviously cock it up because the results are the same.

Then quit out of Reaper and load Midi OX for a bit of diagnosis. Set up the TFP ports correctly and I can see the MIDI traffic whenever I move a fader or hit a pad. Then I load the MTC Transport, press play and the monitor fills with data but the TFP doesn't move (the clock is still in the remote state). I close the MTC transport and load the Midi Sync screen and press play and the TFP jumps to life! It works! Here's a tiny bit of the output below.

MTC Transport (doesn't work)

71129 MOX 4 241 17 --- -- --- MTC Quarter Frame
73728 MOX 2 240 Buffer: 10 Bytes System Exclusive
SYSX: 240 127 127 1 1 96 0 0 0 247
73788 MOX 3 240 Buffer: 10 Bytes System Exclusive
SYSX: 240 127 127 1 1 96 0 0 0 247
73848 MOX 4 240 Buffer: 10 Bytes System Exclusive
SYSX: 240 127 127 1 1 96 0 0 0 247
73733 MOX 2 241 0 --- -- --- MTC Quarter Frame
73733 MOX 3 241 0 --- -- --- MTC Quarter Frame

MIDI Sync (does work)

TIMESTAMP IN PORT STATUS DATA1 DATA2 CHAN NOTE EVENT
264164 MOX 2 251 --- --- -- --- Continue
264164 MOX 3 251 --- --- -- --- Continue
264164 MOX 4 251 --- --- -- --- Continue
264192 MOX 2 248 --- --- -- --- Timing Clock
264192 MOX 3 248 --- --- -- --- Timing Clock
264192 MOX 4 248 --- --- -- --- Timing Clock
264309 4 2 144 42 100 1 F# 2 Note On
264309 4 3 144 42 100 1 F# 2 Note On
264309 4 4 144 42 100 1 F# 2 Note On
264310 4 2 144 49 85 1 C# 3 Note On
264310 4 3 144 49 85 1 C# 3 Note On
264310 4 4 144 49 85 1 C# 3 Note On

Ok, so now the very big question. How do I get Reaper to Output this? I haven't even got to latency or anything else. I'm just at "How do I get this to work"

Because I would love to use the sequencer on the Trigger Finger Pro in Reaper. If anybody's got a solution I'd be really grateful.
