I finally figured out what was wrong. Apparently if you setup with a presonus or lynx aurora, in setup you have to tell it starts with 1L ends with 8R. I was only hearing left

right you have to tell it how many and which of the possible in's and outs of your audio card...

I sympathize with you coming from cubase.... I did also and at first was very frustrated with no understanding how to do stuff in reaper... it seemed cubase just 'did' it all for me... and in someways that is true...

In reaper, you get to [read: you HAVE TO] create your own set ups and then save them as templates... Now there are quite a few done by users on the resources part of the forum so that can be a help... it was for me to dl a few and see how things were being done... and then adapt that to exactly what I wanted.

I must say, that now, after being in reaper for sometime, I dread opening cubase... so take some time to get friendly with it and by and by I think you'll find a good system....

well basically I run CUBASE with 3 Lynx aurora 16s and I just tried REAPER because a fellow industry guy was gushing over it hehe. I was actually using PARIS Ensoniq for many years until it just wouldnt keep up technologically however I still think PARIS kicks the pants off Protools HD. So well see, it takes a bit getting used to, but the funny thing is i think were so used to complicated when something simple comes along it throws us for a loop lol

EXACTLY right!!!! I have seen this over and over with new reaper users who come to it from other DAW's that are a ReaLPainInTheButt to deal with...

Reaper is deeper and asks for an open mind to new ways of thinking and working..... that's the GOOD part!

I'm new to Reaper and I "was" going to ask if the poster was using EZD in Stereo or multichannel mode...

Love Reaper and this forum by the way.
