Selected MIDI notes are darker than unselected ones

I've tried my very best to fix this but I can't figure it out. My selected midi notes are "greyed" out or "darkened", while my unselected ones aren't. This is extremely confusing. How can I switch this around? Thanks!

Open "Theme development: Show theme tweak/configuration window" in the action list and then look for "MIDI editor note" and the following entries.

i did but when i change them nothing happens. it says midi color map override or something. no idea what it means

again just to be clear, the colors are fine, its just that the note gets greyed out when selected .

Oh wait, I completely forgot. It's using a color map.
Either you edit the png:

THANKS! I replaced the color map and now it's perfect

Now if I can only find how to figure out the MIDI editor ruler
