Default New Stretch free plugin

Actually, I'm not making this thread to advertise this plugin but to ask two questions:

1) How is this plugin compared to the strech algorithms in Reaper?

2) Could this plugin be fully or partially merged into Reaper in future updates?

Hopefully the man himself will respond. I wasn't aware of this one.

To 1.)

Paul Stretch is not comparable with any timestretching algos out there.
It's capable of doing extreme stretching, you can for example stretch a whole song to a pad, without it sounding artificial. It's pretty fantastic.
Regard this more as a sound designer tool.

1. is of course subjective. One may or may not like the sounds produced by the
algorithm. But like was mentioned above, comparing to the existing Reaper provided algorithms is a bit moot, since the PaulStretch algo is geared at extreme time stretches and also provides dozens of other parameters to further manipulate the sound.

2. I did attempt to do that, but it was quite tricky and I have so far postponed attempting it again. But in principle it should be possible to do since the Reaper developers added open support for 3rd parties to implement time/pitch algorithms.
