Country, blues etc are more organic imo and dont work well with midi. Then again, actually getting living breathing musicians in my studio is often like hearding cats.

Thats what I did with the first video set and I was lucky enough to have some really good friends do it for me..

But I feel the genre's listed are VERY MIDI heavy and make sense to make a video set for... And if its not your style you will still learn to produce and use instruments in midi for sure! :-)

Plus.. any musician should be able to appreciate a nice beat/groove.

??

Not if you're quantise -happy maybe

MIDI can be used for any style, as long as you're capturing a performance and not expecting the Q-button to create it

Some people are having a hard time downloading because its a 3.5gb file. I'm working on another solution which will be 4 800mb files which should allow people on slower or less stable connections to DL it without a problem.

Fourteenth day:
The Sherpas are getting restless as we approach the third rar file and the atmosphere is now noticeably thinning.
I have had Major Carruthers encourage the singing of jolly patriotic songs to help buoy up the men's spirits, but unfortunately the majority of non-coms are now breathless to the point of being unable to even hum a tune.

Fifteenth day:
Only Tensing and myself left now. We lost the last of our faithful bearers at the south Col leading to the fourth rar file, so I am now preparing for the inevitable as we struggle to maintain connection with each other.
Tensing is as durable as ever, barely noticing the steadily accumulating snow and the rapid increase in windspeed, but I confess the snowblindness and frostbite are beginning to sap my own spirits.

Just verified our position and we are, in our sadly depleted state, reduced to a paltry 377k/s as compared to our initial cracking pace of 420k.

In the event that we fail to reach the 5th rar, please tell Agnes that I love her and that I have made arrangements with the Colonel to make sure my belongings are forwarded to her and the children forthwith.

Smithers Smythington-Browne, Lt. Col., Ropers Light Horse

P.S. Yes it really IS that slow and flaky still, Johnny. (tee hee)

I would love to buy this but want to know if you explain how to set up an arrangement that includes Tempo Change/Time Signature Changes and Ritardandos w/o the problems of the Grid alignment.
Or is this the basic 4/4 MIDI 101 for beginners and intermediate users.

Better yet, is there an index where I can view the topics of discussion, as this will pretty much allow me to make a decision.

That's a problem with the way how Reaper draws the grid... don't think there's any workaround for that atm.

Well I definately appreciate your input as I know you are dialed in.
Thanks.
But for the sake of supporting developers I would like a glance at the topics. as I am sure a few chapters can help me out with automation mappings, etc.
Funny thing is that I got it work a while back on 6/8-9/8 with ritardando and recall proved it worked, so we learned the tune as it was a way for me to use Reaper as a rehersal tool, eliminating the various tracks as players learn their parts.
That was around 4.0 something, I should have written down the version and how I achieved the results, but Cubase transfers time sig/tempo maps to Reaper perfectly so I can get by using both for now.

Thanks EvDr
