How can I import a track from another Reaper project?
Is there a way to import a track from another Reaper project without open it?

i guess not.
copy and paste from an open project tab to another or save it as template and import it that way.

Opening another project opens it in a new tab. Presumably you would have to have some window open to select a track from if there was some function to do that without opening the project. It would take the same time and mouse clicks either way. You can simply cut/paste any project element from another tab into your current project.
Saving templates...
Kind of need to be clairvoyant to anticipate what you might need to save from a project that you will want to use later in another. After the fact, you would have the extra steps of opening it and saving a template.
Opening the old project in a new tab and pilfering from it is really the most straightforward way to go. Reaper went straight for "Wouldn't it be nice if we could just open an old project directly and cut from it?"

Thank you for your answers. But I wrote "without open it". Please think about climate change. Every unnecessary post increases the temperature.We have to start with the very small things

Open the file location in finder/explorer and drag and drop into the project

@Winfield I want to import 1 selected track of an existing project, like in Cubase. And the temperature rises again

Lol.
Ooops. I'm contributing to climate change, but that was funny.

Yeah that sounds just like that recent bit of gaslighting from the fossil fuel industry. (They just had some stupid run of propaganda with "Everyone do your little part" bs as though the elephant in the room was invisible.) Of course the leading cause of climate change is energy use for servers hosting web forums. /s

Don't you offset your forum related CO2 emissions? I always hold my breath when posting.

Hi Eisenspalter,
import the (whole) project as Track Template, then remove/erase all unwanted tracks except the one (or more) that you need to stay imported.
-> Insert track from template
-> Open template...
-> (in Open track template dialog) in File type compobox choose "Project files (*.RPP,*.EDL,*.TXT,clipsort.log)" type
-> navigate to your specific folder and select your project file that you want to import (project that contains the track(s) you want to import)
-> remove/erase all unwanted tracks
DONE!
Hope it helps you to not warm up too much ;-)
