Due to size constraints for uploading to Stash, I've decided to put the Short layouts into their own theme and not include them in the main mod.
The LCS-mod Short theme is now available:

In this screen shot the first track has 3 inserts, but they can't be seen directly from the mixer even though there's there's plenty of room.

This is my current default theme in the same space. I'm happy to sacrifice some room for the Imperial look, but being able to see both the inserts and sends is crucial from a usability standpoint.

*EDIT* After exploring a little more it appears the Imperial mod has the same split insert/send functionality I want, but by default it will show the empty slots needing to be expanded to show the used ones, rather than showing the used ones, needing to be expanded to show the empty ones...

Some day, when you are soooooo bored you can't stand it, what do you think of adding a layout option for the transport where the controls are centered more? It always drives me nutz to have to travel with my mouse to a corner get to transport controls. It makes much more sense [to me] to have the most frequently used controls dead center for quickest access.

Again, only if you get bored some day ...

Now:

Agree +1000. I have a toolbar with all transport controls on it for that purpose that I can center on top of the arrange so that I don't have to do miles of mousing evertime I push the record button, loop etc.
Some themes have the centered transport option very appreciated.

not quite what you have pictured, but pretty close.

I was trying to to get that worked out before uploading, but ran out of time before leaving town for a while.
I posted what I had so you could check it out in the meantime.
I've got it fixed now. Please download the new version and test it.
Please note that if you turn off 'show sends' you can pull the top down to show 2 FX and scroll through them as needed.
If 'show sends' is enabled the size of the send list will dictate when the list disappears as you compact it.
Play with it and you'll see what I mean.
I think it's very usuable now though.

** Going forward, please post to the 'LCS-mod Short' thread when you have comments regarding the Short mod.

Lucas - You are a rock star themer!

Question: I have managed to tweak the prior versions colors and setting just so. How do I get all of those tweaks into this new version?

For the previous versions I basically went thru and redid all of the tweaks. This time I would like to maintain those tweaks. How do I do this? Export/Import?

I figured it out on my own. Used reload images with the new themezip file. Then saved the theme.

Lucas this is VERY sweet. Thank you so much for doing these little tweaks. The transport controls are now grouped and positioned nicely. Now I clean out the redundant buttons from my toolbar.

I can't imagine what it would be, but if you need a favor some time, you have a couple or three in the bank here.

Using latest LCS mod and quite pleased! Only niggle is: No layout choice for making Master Mixer _ Black, but NOT going to Big Meter. I can Tweak, but easier if you tell me which specific item to darken ??
Obviously would prefer Layout option for long-run.

Such a fine dual-monitor Theme !

Thanks,

I'm a little confused. Your OP and the stash lists just "...v2" available for download, although the change log lists up to the recent "v2.4b".

Is the listed "v2" actually v2.4b"?

(if so, you may want to consider updating the name of the downloadable file.)

Once you unzip that, it will have v2.4b inside. Sorry, I forgot about the zip wrapper

The zip file downloaded will always have that name.
The '.ReaperThemeZip' file inside will bear the actual version or revision number.

Still need help with ___ Floating Master Mixer _ lower panel background is silver/grey and need to darken same as __ Mixer Panel a01--Black.

Can use a02--Big Meter Black, but prefer same as Mixer appearance.

Thought this would be in 'theme tweak' settings ??

The only easy way I know of to apply optional color to the Mixer/Master is with Ed's color Toolbar.

see change log in first post.

I probably wont be making anymore new layouts or updates going forward.
The theme is pretty much in it's final form with this version, unless someone finds a bug that is necessary to fix.

Thank you all for the the feedback and suggestions.
I'm glad you like the mod and find it useful.

Lucas - You have done one helluva job and a helluva lot of work developing this great Imperial mod to satisfy everyone's desires. Thank you; you deserve a nice long break.

Thank you from me, and I'm sure many, many others here.

v2.7
- added 'Blank' layout to the TCP.

Thought this was already in there.
Layout is needed to match the 'Blank' layout in the MCP.
O.K., that should be the last needed change.
Enjoy!

Default Oh-Oh

If you have a Folder Track - in the MCP you can collapse and re-expand the contained tracks. Fine. But in the TCP, pressing the Parent track's "Green Button" does NOT collapse the tracks - it makes the Green Button disappear! Then you need to hit "Undo" to get it back.

Thanks for the reply, Bob.

So since you replied that it's OK for you, I tried it again and it's fine here, too.

It seems it's only doing it on a particular, saved track-template of mine. I just made a new "blank" template with a folder, saved, closed-out, reopened & all that - and the new one loaded back in just fine.

I wonder what I've screwed-up this time. Stay tuned.

Found it...

It happens if the Parent track TCP Track Layout Selection is one of the "Meter" Options. In my case, when I saved my template, the parent track TCP option was: Meter - Name, number & core buttons".

Case solved, Watson. Time to slip into my smoking jacket and slippers.

That's great news. I gotta say Lucas did a great job on this theme. I've completely quit futzing about with how stuff looks and gotten on to using it Thanks again Lucas!

I just verified your finding by changing one of my folders to a meter layout. I don't use meters in TCP, so I hadn't seen this problem.

I don't know if you're looking to deal with purely cosmetic stuff or not -and I certainly understand if you're not- but if you are ...

If the "NEXT" glyph is handy ...

That clip is the way the theme shows up here, both default and centered versions of the transport look like this. I haven't changed anything. My pref is PREV/NEXT, but </> works too. The same is better than different. Hell, it actually works fine like it is.

How odd, I only have the arrows.
I wonder if it's a setting somwhere.
are you running the transport full screen width?
Is it in the docker, floating or some other arrangement?
I'll poke around and see if I can find it.
