my most used JS plugs:
Event Horizon 2
Saturation
Badbussmojo
Delay
stereo enhancer
Stereowidth
Pseudostereo
to have WT's interface on those would be phenomenal!

There are Stillwell versions of some of these and they already have great gui's. Are the JS versions superior in performance in some way? Or is it just that they are free that makes them worth designing new gui's?

Well, they sound nearly as good as the standalones as far as I can tell, and the standalone GUIs seem a bit fat and chunky (overly ornate?), in my opinion.

The VST plugins are functionally superior to the JS in numerous ways, though the JS are still extremely good.

Ya, Royale Noir and the new Reaper 3.0 theme look damn nice together I noticed! Maybe one influenced the other.

...not to mention I also added the popular and free Y'z Shadow to give my JS plug-ins and REAPER some depth. Amazing how a wee bit of depth can add to the DAW experience.

Thanks for the killer JS skin WT and argee! The Y'z shadow gives it that extra zing.

instructions and new link
Hello pauloticks,
Unzip the download file contents into your Reaper\Effects folder - the next time you start Reaper they should show up.
Typically in Windows it is in "C:\Program Files\Reaper\Effects"
You can put them in any folder inside the "Effects" folder. For myself, I created a sub-folder called "GUI" and put them in there.
This is the most up-to-date version:
https://stash.reaper.fm/v/3980/JS%20GUI.zip
(I'm going to go update the OP link now.)
cheers

A while ago, I had done some skins for the Loser/MGA plugins (the VST versions, to be wrapped in Asseca's Mgui wrapper), if anyone is interested ?
It was the stereo imager, the compressor and the transient designer, all in a similar GUi scheme...
[edit]
Here are the skins :
Some are finished, some are not. They were already published on Asseca's website, with Michael's agreement. I think that if anyone is willing to code these GUI for the JS versions, i will ask him the permission again.

I'm guessing the GUI's take next to no CPU use. it's just a png image or three. nothing more.

did I mention those loser skins look amazing? well... they look amazing.
there should be a gui kit (of sorts) just a really nice looking bunch of png files for backdrops, sliders and knobs. based on those loser mockups, perhaps? and maybe some webcast examples on how to go from a JS to a JS with a GUI. you know, for the kids.

Thank you.
i just found where i had put it on my HD, but i can't work on it anymore.
Here are the files (background, knobs, etc), if anyone is skilled enough to compile it for the JS plugin, i'd be glad to use them (if Michael/Loser agrees, of course).
transient designer =>

I have placed the unzipped JS gui folder into the REAPER/EFFECTS folder as suggested. When I add a JS effect ie Chorus, all I get is the standard interface....I know it is me but I have no idea. Any help appreciated...do they work in REAPER 4..IS this my problem?

I'll guess that you're selecting the original JS FX; you need to load JS: argee/chorusGUI

Does this works in V4.10 ??
I have unzipped them almost anywhere they aren't there.
No search filter results for argee, gui, or anything, just the normal plugs.
What am I doing wrong ?

Very cool! I didn't realize these were skinable. Now I will start using some of these suckers! I wonder if Reaper made some cool skins and added a nice snap shot of them to their promo pics.. if that might sell some folks who are looking at Reaper (you know.. Also, Reaper comes with all these state of the art plugins.. bla bla) - Those bleach white slider things are just a turn off.. at least for me
