Default Reaper crash system while scanning for plugins (Waves and Melda)

Hi all, I bought a new PC and I'm configuring it to achieve stability and performances.

When I installed Reaper and started the first time I found that it freeze Windows while scanning for VST plugins, I have to manually reboot the system.

I found that Waves (VST3) and Melda (all of them) plugins are causing the issue.

I try to work without OC and XMP profile on my RAM and everything works fine, than I loaded XMP and OC again and now I can use Reaper, but I fear another scan, I already tried it and my monitors fade to black and PC freezes.

I think the PC itself is stable, I did a stress test for RAM and CPU (XMP and OC) with AIDA64 without errors or problems for 30 minutes.

Never had that problem before with my old PC.

Do you know why it happens?

Is there some option to avoid it in the future?

Thanks for your help.

This reminds me of a similar problem I had (with Melda plugs).
My ATI video card did not allow GPU acceleration (an option in Melda plugs).
Melda sent me a patch to disable it.
You should contact them.
Their support uses to be very friendly.

Thank you for your answer but I don't think the problem is the GPU (I have a 1080 GTX), I think is something that has to do with ram and its configuration.

My PC is build on the recent X299 chipset so the BIOS is in early stage. I think that there's something wrong in settings.

Even if I remove Melda Plugins I have the same issue with Waves ones and maybe I'll have this with other plugins too. I don't know how the inizialization of those plugins works.

Maybe they go to touch something that act on the hardware in some way causing the issue.

I've done multiple stress tests without problems at all with actual settings, I don't know why only this plugins are causing the issue.

Onces I have initialized them I can use them in Reaper without issues. The problem occur only during the scanning process (at least until now).
