Default How to sync JACK with REAPER's transport?

What i want:
REAPER can start/stop/pause transport. And all software drive by JACK sync transport. Like Ardour + Hydrogen.

I can not figure it out. Thanks.

IIRC reaper can slave to jack transport, but it can't be the master controlling it.

To enable right click on the play button in the transport and select "Enable syncronisation to timecode", and "Use input" JACK transport. After that you can control transport with for instance qjackctl.

I just tried this, and the transport does not stay in sync. When I move the playhead in the master DAW, it doesn't move in REAPER, it just plays from where it stopped. Is there a button I am missing? Is this a bug?

I'd have to try this, as I've never used it, I'll see if I can find some time. Does go to the beginning/end work?

I know that Justin only implemented slave functionality as implementing the full functionality would cause some issues with how reaper is designed. If this is not working I'd suspect that it's a bug. The sad part is that JACK transport doesn't seem to be well designed, as for instance it won't really support looping.

Yeah, double clicking on the stop button causes it to go back to the beginning, and then by the third beat it syncs up. I also noticed that the BPM does not sync with the master DAW, it has to be set manually.
