Can I install a BFD3 64 bit update over a present install of 32bit

Guys can I install the software BFD3 over the current one
installed in my computer.
My current one is 32bit version I wish to change this to the 64bit version.
Reaper can be installed over the old version hence the question I can find
little knowledge on this topic.

Safer to ask BFD`s support I would think. I wish I had an answer but never got beyond the basic BFD Eco or Evo or whatever its called.
