Hi "quiet" George, Sean and others.

Thanks being the first to answer my request.

You're not making what I really listen to but as I expect, there are very interesting things in there.
Everything looks to be well product to me.

Very nice guitar plays from 1.58 in "Shifted".(and good things before too)
A really powerful intro on "Abyss", big, big sound making me think of Muse or kind of(hope you'll take it the good way).
Very impressive choice of sound on "don't blink".

Nice work.

Thanks for sharing. Bye

Zulfia`s Eyes Universe is what I usually do in REAPER, with a lot of dirty/noisy compression, scripting and building patches in different interesting software, using REAPER mostly as CV routing beetween Reaktor patches
And BadWeather is a port of FL studio complex project made with 3xOscillators synth only, which I played live some time ago with kinda microtuning and unusual time signatures.

edit: there is also music discussion here

Hi Michael. Glad seeing you here.

I already knew your work, being on SC too. Some are a little hard to hear for me but I can see the work on the overall. A bit technical for me.

When I go down a few month on your page, there I can find some very good piece easier for me to listen.

Comparing the peak/wave form is evocative. You really change something between 2 years ago and now.

Anyway, I can see the hard work in there. You follow your path....

Hi Dan. I did indeed.

Perhaps you can't imagine how an open listener I am.

I'm now on Autumn Leaves aka Les feuilles mortes in french. Very soft piece.

I've listened to a few of yours. It was quite a schock after Michael's. But it's another genre, very relaxing in fact.

Are you playing every parts, even singing ?

I just had a problem with the panning system you applied on the intro of the two "Folk and Latin Mood" which seems to be a bit radical to me.

Your a better musician than I am, just drawing rectangles in the midi editor.

Thanx for sharing. Bye

My French is not too good, I would translate what you wrote as "the falling death". But a quick google surprised me.
1945 French song, "Les Feuilles mortes" (literally "The Dead Leaves"), with music by Hungarian-French composer Joseph Kosma and lyrics by poet Jacques Prévert.

A big thank you to your countrymen for such a sweet piece.

Hi Death (is it Aaron ?).

I have to be honest on this, I don't think I'll take inspiration from those tracks. A bit too "metal" maybe but respect for your work. I'll hear it again with the vocals and a final mix if you let us know.

In another hand, I will never thank you enough for your Drum Mode which I use everyday and makes it more easy for me. Sorry it's for you that my "open mind" stops.

Bye

You're welcome, my friend

This song hasn't finish inspiring many people.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V8kLDmUm_mA

"Oh je voudrais tant que tu te souviennes
Cette chanson était la tienne
C'était ta préférée je crois
Qu'elle est de Prévert et Kosma
Et chaque fois Les Feuilles mortes
Te rappelle à mon souvenir
Jour après jour les amours mortes
N'en finissent pas de mourir

Avec d'autres bien sûr je m'abandonne
Mais leur chanson est monotone
Et peu à peu je m'indiffère
À cela il n'est rien à faire
Car chaque fois Les Feuilles mortes
Te rappelle à mon souvenir
Jour apès jour les amours mortes
N'en finissent pas de mourir

Peut-on jamais savoir par où commence
Et quand finit l'indifférence
Passe l'automne vienne l'hiver
Et que la chanson de Prévert
Cette chanson Les Feuilles mortes
S'efface de mon souvenir
Et ce jour-là mes amours mortes
En auront fini de mourir

Et ce jour-là mes amour mortes
En auront fini de mourir"

"Oh I wish you could remember
This song was yours
It was your favorite I think
That she is from Prévert and Kosma
And each time The dead leaves
Remind me to my memory
Day after day, dead loves
Do not finish dying

With others of course I abandon myself
But their song is monotonous
And little by little I am indifferent
To that it is nothing to do
Because each time the dead leaves
Remind me to my memory
Day after day dead loves
Do not finish dying

Can we ever know where does it begin
And when the indifference ends
Pass the autumn come winter
And that Prévert's song
This song Les Feuilles mortes
Is erasing my memory
And that day my dead loves
Will have finished dying

And that day my dead love
Will have finished dying"

* You didn't answer. Are those real takes, and are you singing too and playing all parts ?

Thanx for sharing, Bye

www.deanrichard.com There are videos on the home page, or you can go to the CDs page to listen to any of the songs on my three CDs. (The previews are full length.) Music is mostly blues-rock, etc.

Hi Eddy.

I'm listening to Formwork revisited.

That's typically the kind of thing my ears are looking for at that time (midnight in France). Don't know if you've heard some of my tracs, this can be very close partly.

Be back to you after listening...

Hi Jay

It looks to be the hour.

Really cool stuff you got there. I really mean it (saying that coz anyone coming here and looking what I write can easily think I want to be kind with anyone dishonestly which isn't the case, I might just be lucky today)

Sorry for the off topic Jay but I had to say so at a time.

So, very well done for your tracks. Like the modernity of it mix with a touch of 80's if you don't mind, close to 70's sometime for the choice in key's.

Already finish, 5 tracks, is that all ?

Nice job. Want some more.

Any place where to follow your work ?

Thanx, Bye

Thanx again Eddy.

And thanx to all you guys that has come on this thread today sharing your pieces. You've made a nice day for me instead of a rainy Sunday in Normandy/France.

For those who are interested in, as my free Soundcloud account is full now, my latest pieces are on Hearthis (see, the link.). Nothing to sell, I'm buying your ears with sounds.

Not far to leave this thread for today, to look at some others, you took all my time typing.
Hope I'll have some fresh things tomorrow morning.

Bye...()

Hi Dean, thanks answering my request.

As I say, I wont tell you this is the music I'm listening to.

But I can see you're not waiting for my taste to have the success you deserve. This is all very well product, both titles and videos. Very clever effects, even visual special effects on scene and clips too.

To be frank, I wasn't expecting to have so many response and by people of that quality. (who I'm I to put a judgement on anything)

I see you're touring a lot, that's nice. Enjoy. Bye Dean

My Respect Reverend.

I'm really happy of what I've done with this thread, very good collection of music indeed. Thanx again to those who participate.

I've already listened to your music a time ago. And liked some of it.
I appreciate the variety of genre and sounds. Makes me think of ....me. Searching what can be done next, which one i'll try this time.

Special likes for 35/40, Downhill from here and its "a la Zappa" genre, especially with the voice at 1.20.,
the 80' style of Zos too.

In fact, real good work.

Thanx being there.

Bye

Once again, new stuff are on Hearthis, my Souncloud account being full now, it's 4 months I didn't upload here

Oh wow, glad you mentioned this. The new stuff sounds a lot more polished.

There is something about that jazz piece on your soundcloud that is stuck in my head though. Always the same but always different. Really simple but clever.

Yeah, that's why I do insist a little by underlining. I think it' growing a little better. Also because of the sound which is a way better quality on Hearthis.

Edit : I agree with you about Eddy. Try Jay's

Hi Phil. I had some of yours finally by your YT channel. The ones in your "kitchen style". You're doing it very well despite it's not my "cup of tea". Real blues, I think, that I've never listened to, preferring more modern music and definitely classical music. But you're good at it.

Enjoy man. Thanx for responding to my ask.

Salut!

I should really upload more content - so many beats waiting to be finished on my hard drive...
I also should add them to my soundcloud - but for now my music is on this page:

Thanks for listening

Knowing the forum expected mostly conventional stuff here, but this is far out, I love there's a trio of CNC machines listed as instruments in the description. Breakbeat in a steel mill.

Closest stuff to the ambient/experimental profile of the OP is my little neglected "So ambient it Hertz" playlist, based on found radio sounds, mostly recorded by myself, often in ungodly hours. Kinda conventional aside of that, so regular instruments still make the framework of tunes and found noises serve mostly as ambient padding. Faintly received, distant sounds of civilization are great, make music feel inhabited.

Hi Cyball. Really interesting things in there. Not the kind I'm too often listening to but very nice sounds.

I like the repetitive way you do it. Like some sound treatment.

I'm listening to "My Hero Tonight". Quite different from the others, nice female voice.

Like too your set : "Chilling it", world electro genre. Nice job on the percussion and drums.

Too big list for tonight but very impressive work. I'll be back on it.

Bye

Bye

Hi Zee. Interesting work on those radio caught sounds. It makes a good uncommon atmosphere.

I've been back a few years in your song list. You look to be a complete artist, as a fine guitar player as seen on the YT Channel. Nice.

PS : what's the point about this Loud Atlas (play on words about the film, something near India as the artwork shows ?)

Bye
