Default Split command on Left mouse click adds cursor position change (

If I assign a Split command or any other to the left mouse click and click on the item, the cursor will automatically move to the click location. I do not understand why this is happening? Why does the cursor position change if it's not in the command? This is a bit confusing (

End there is no checkbox in Preferences to disable this.

If I assign Split command to a keyboard, there is no cursor position changes.

If you install SWS and ReaPack you will have a numnber of alternative split actions. One of them should work for you. There's also an action to undo the cursor move and put it back to the last position.

Can't find the thread atm. But this is actually a problem / bug with the mouse modifier. It moves cursor, although the command doesn't do it, when you execute it via keyboard.

Thanks for the answer! Sws actions works in the same way(
Undo cursor move action helps but, it scrolls to edit cursor even it is not in vision. That is not desirable too(

If that helps but not quite enough, try adding the action "view: restore previous zoom/scroll position.

Also, any Armed Action moves cursor to mouse position, it's a real pain(

Yeap)

Assigning any action or script to left mouse click by Mouse Modifiers or by Armed Action is a VERY VERY VERY cool feature!!! But automatic cursor position change drives me crazy

Restoring the cursor position with an action doesn't work, right?

Save and restore cursor position in a macro doesn't work. The cursor moves before the action happens.

Undo edit cursor move doesn't work either. It goes back a step further than where cursor was before clicking, like there isn't enough time for the current move to get put in the queue. Besides, you might use the action in a way that the cursor would not move. Undo edit cursor also seeks :/

Sergei, I think you should include the action assignment to left click part in your FR thread. This issue has come up a number of times. I recently saw someone post a link to schwa's post #12 in this thread, which basically equates to "it's a feature, not a bug":
https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=84854

Maybe the FR for a check box in prefs would allow us to have more versatile modifier system without anyone having to change their current actions to work how they do now. (Otherwise, I think a macro with "move edit cursor to mouse cursor" would work for that, but whatever...) So maybe change the title to be more like an FR than a bug report. That's my opinion...

+1, in other words.

It works if the cursor is visible. But if edit cursor is out of vision, then the camera moves, which is not desirable.

At least double click works "right", without cursor position change)
