Request - Freehand Delete Envelope Points
Simple request I think, let us delete envelope points, holding alt/option in the same way that we can draw envelope points. Right now we can only delete one-at-a-time with the mouse.
There are actions for deleting envelope points at the mouse cursor, but in mouse modifiers for Envelope point and Left-Drag, we're not able to assign any actions!
Thanks!

Would be really great to have this as a mouse modifier. Not just for envelope points, but items, too (why not, since we can delete MIDI notes in the same way?)!

It would indeed be more convenient and consistent to have a mouse-drag modifier for deletion (probably alt+drag by default).
If anyone needs freehand deletion urgently, try "SWS/BR: Delete envelope point at mouse cursor". Not quite a mouse modifier action, but it allows freehand deletion while holding the shortcut key.

+1 and also to add mouse modifier for right drag to erase points or items just like the midi editor.

odd thing is that it works perfectly in the new CC envelopes holding alt and dragging.

True. I hope they will program all envelopes the same way.

Works great in new CC envelopes in REAPER 6, would be very welcome for envelopes in Arrange view as well.
Meanwhile, the alternative workflow might be: marquee select points, then delete them. In most cases it's as quick - sometimes quicker! - and can be done with mouse only if you have "Remove items/tracks/envelope points" (Command ID: 40697) in your context menus.

Indeed. Things should be consistent.

Bump. I'm sure the devs have thought about this, there should be a common abstraction layer to automation envelopes and MIDI CC. From a user perspective it will always feel weird if they don't behave the same way. (How awesome would it be to have automation items for MIDI CC)
