Default Track Automation Indicator

I cannot see if automation is present on a track if the envelope lanes are hidden. So I would like to have a visual clue if a track has automation envelopes and if at least one of them is active.

Plus: a tooltip that shows me which envelopes are hidden (like the FX tooltip).

+1!!!

This would be very useful in large post production projects where I like to hide automation to save some space.

You get the indication for some parameters. They're green in read mode, yellow in touch, latch and latch preview, and then red when they're latched and/or writing, which is always the case in WRITE mode. For plugin parameters you'd need them to show up as parameter knobs, so that's out too, since many folks use them as controls and in carefully chosen layouts for parameter feedback.

Here's an idea for a general indicator for the presence of any automation on a track, i.e. activated envelopes.
Have the automation buttons for READ, LATCH, TOUCH, LATCH PREVIEW and WRITE be an intensely coloured version of themselves when there is automation on a track.

Have them all be desaturated, almost grey when there is no automation.

I think this would best be solved by adding a few more images to Reaper's theming.

For TCP now we have

- track_env.png
- track_env_latch.png
- track_env_preview.png
- track_env_read.png
- track_env_touch.png
- track_env_write.png

We should get
- track_env_on.png
- track_env_latch_on.png
- track_env_preview_on.png
- track_env_read_on.png
- track_env_touch_on.png
- track_env_write_on.png

For MCP the same applies but with "mcp" instead of "track" in the image name. There exists also a "gen" image. Not sure where that is used but probably needs "_on" versions too.

By supporting this at theming level every themer could come up with his own intelligent way of displaying active automation.

For the default theme what airon suggests (a copy of the same image but with more saturated color for active automation) seems like a very good idea to me.
