[Video demo] Tempo changes and playback cursor bugs?

Hello,

I've been having this problem with the playback cursor being out of position whilst recording. I've had it for a while now, at least since Reaper 5, but I think it was also the case with Reaper 4. Any help is appreciated!

Also worth noting: I've had scenarios where the playback cursor was aligned with the right edge of the midi item, BUT the actual notes were recorded much "earlier" (to the left of it). Here's another example:

To reformulate my ideal scenario:

Initial behaviour:
When I record something at a first tempo, a midi file is created as I record.

Tempo change while recording behaviour:
When I tap tempo during recording, a new tempo marker is created (and possibly a new midi item too) and the midi data is now recorded at this tempo.

Rinse and repeat :P

P.S. yes, I record my practice :P That's the best way to practice!
