Default How do I do this? Compression question

In Audition I can work the compression stuff without a problem. I mostly use the graph which is quite useful to finetune what you want. In Reaper I don't how to fix this. Like I have a preset in Audition that uses these settings:
compress 8:1 above -38.5 dB
expand 999:1 below -38.5 dB
expand 4.3:1 below -40 dB
expand 1.1:1 below -45 dB
I leave the gain/attack/release settings out of the picture.
How do I do this in reaComp? or reaXcomp? Do I need multiple instances to work that out?

Hey earlabs

Don't get too discouraged....I've had a number of posts die a horrible death out here....for some reason, some posts just don't get response...and I suspect there are those who read them that know the answer...oh well

I would think that ReaXcomp, being a multi-band compressor, would work for this...and once you get it set, you could save it as a preset to recall at a click later.....

You need multiple instances, or a graphic dynamic compressor like MultiComp (better sounding) or Acon (DX).

I hope one day Reaper will have a similar plugin, too (submitted many FR posts about it).

++1 :-)

I too love the CEP dynamics, however the free MASB Compressor:

...is quite similar (and it has sidechain abilities). Download it here: http://www.kvraudio.com/developer_ch...6/MASBComp.zip
