How can I upload pics to a thread?
Sorry for asking this but I can´t seem to find out how to do it. I just did some mods to a theme and I´d like to show it to you.
Thanks.

PC' -
When you start to 'reply' to a message, just below is a ' Manage attachments' thingy.
After you click it, you can choose a pic to upload.
Upload your pic. Then right click over it and select 'Copy Link Address':
Then when you choose the little 'Pic' icon during your reply...
You just paste the address in and you're there.
Kind of a pain, but it works.

Another way is to upload your pics in the stash, cause the number/size of your attachements is limited afaik. That would make it possible to post a smaller clickable thumbnail of your pic and clicking on it opens a HiRes picture.
The linking works like ReaperMadness mentioned.
And these codes you need are shown in the stash window at the bottom.
Some more infos about the "coding" are here: http://forum.cockos.com/misc.php?do=bbcode

Peter

The main thing to remember is to enclose the image like so:
[img] [/img]
I use this site to upload and resize images, copy the direct link, and paste it in between the [img] brackets.

I find it easiest to just use my Dropbox's Public folder.

Hi ya... thanks for that postimage link... I've been needing a new site like that...
They say they offer a plugin for easily posting to various kinds of forums... and that looks interesting but I don't know which of the forum kinds would apply to this Reaper forum... do you know?

May I ask why you don't use the stash? Just for curiosity/learning purpose...

It has to be said, that pics (and other files) stored in external sites (e.g. as https://postimage.org/ was mentioned, ..) are deleted after some time and the thread and information contained is then incomplete, when important pics are missing

Are you sure about that? From their site:

How long will images remain on the server?
You can upload unlimited images per post and you will never have to worry about your images being removed due to inactivity.

I used to use shup for everything even non-reaper and it worked great, then one day all my images showed cats or kittens instead and which went on for days or weeks, I can't remember if they all got restored in the end or not.
So I started using postimage recently and so far so good, although the app you download doesn't seem to work properly for me

I did mean it globally. I am not sure about that specific site.
But it can happen anytime with any service, you know.

I've always used Reapers Stash, and never had any problems.
