Default Golden Age R1 Active MK111 Microphone

Just a heads up I purchased a Golden Age R1 MK111 Microphone
recently because I had always wanted a ribbon microphone and thought
the sound files on the web I listened to were very good.
I saw a few reviews that talked about noise from these mics that was the main negative however I had heard none on the file samples of any consequence.

I have many microphones up to NZ $3500.
I have been satisfied up until now that said though I was bowled over with the Golden Age R1 MK111 Microphone on my classical guitar.
I have yet to try it on another instrument but will report back when I do.
As for noise not anything bad to report on that I did not notice any I am
wondering those couple of people who reported noise had a bad one or
had an impedance match problem or crook cables or poor pr-eamp etc

I am still stunned about the quality well done Golden Age is all I can say.

A lot of interface's preamp sport an input impedance of around 5 kOhm. That's too high for this mic, IMHO. So your guess could be right, as it seems to prefer loads of around 2 kOhms. At least, that's what I've been told.

Been doin' a bit of askin' around on this one, as it's on my "Need to buy" list.
