Default Side Chain

Can anyone recommend a really good video tutorial on side chaining. I have a decent basic understanding of what it is and how it is supposed to work but am a little in the dark on how to set it up. The side chain channel etc. Thanks a bunch.

Found this video - shows use of sidechain with F6 EQ

What I need to know - how in Reaper do you let a 2nd Vocal track - 100% Wet HDelay - sidechaine into a compressor to duck the delay when vocals happen. Do you have the compressor follow the Delay? Doing this, the compressor will work when vocals happen, then let go after when there are no vocals letting a vocal "tail" to form. Understand I can also pull down parts of a dry vocal track onto a delay 100% wet delay track. Actually did this in the demo below - 1st verse / chorus, then I let the HComp compress the delay when vocals happened. My 1st time doing this. Anyone else do this? No Right? It's a great place to mix.

1st Mix with Sidechain / mids

F6 pushes down music bed (Mids) when vocals are present - can put it on both guitar / drum sub buses using different frequency threholds!!! Sound comes back alive when vocals are not present.

Vocals - sidechain F6 EQ - pushes down MIDS of Drums subbus
Vocals - sidechain F6 EQ - pushes down MIDS of Guitar subbus
Vocals - Subbus w HDelay followed by HComp - mutes delay when vocals are present
Vocals - Vocal Rider Sidechain - activated by music only stereo track

- added studio vocals and blended them into live vocals

Don't forget Ducking Reverb too.
Some of the best Vocal and Drum tracks use this technique.
Vocals with Ducked Reverb and Delay on isolated tracks sound odd until the other tracks are added.
That's when the genius of the idea is truly seen.

Not a big Whitney Houston fan but loved her voice.
When listening to isolated vocal masters using Ducking I realized what a fantastic technique it is.

But still really appreciate no effects on beautiful voices like Joss Stone or Allison Kraus/Windy City.

On most of my synth solos a Ducking Delay is used.
It really adds separation to the comps I use without having to boost db.
