You're seeing a Reaper limitation that doesn't allow us to add actions to the MIDI editor section. Keystrokes should pass-through from the midi editor to the main section as long as they're not defined for the MIDI editor.

Thanks Tim, I'm assumeing you're talking about the "Pass through" action, I'll check it out.

Cycle Actions Editor - OSX PPC Leo
When I open this window it refuses to close again, no matter which button I click. Have to quit Reaper to resolve.

Uh Oh!
Just tried cycle action editor with new build (#32 OSX PPC). Yes, it closes okay BUT when I try to open it again, Reaper hangs, then crashes.
Sorry. I'm just the messenger. Don't kill me.

Thanks team! Works like a charm. Now it opens and closes smoothly.
As for when I right click as instructed, nothing happens. #34 anyone???

FR: 10 more load/import track template actions
Dear Tim,
I'm building a set of track templates in my main toolbar,
which depends on sws load/import track template actions.
I've currently used up all 10 slot actions, so it would be
great if this could be extended to at least 16 to fill
up the main toolbar. 20 would hopefully be enough for
most users?
Thanks for reading/considering,
e

@Kunda: thanks for the reports (and thank you Tim for the fix!). This editor is a bit different.. seems like I felt a bit too confident in my "blind coding" skills on OSX
So, I'll probably drop the cycle editor on OSX and replace it with the previous basic GUI which was OK.
@Tod: yes but there are other limitations (eg. no access to toolbars in the ME, mouse modifiers, etc..)
=> you can support this FR: http://forum.cockos.com/project.php?issueid=2704
@EricM: Well, now YOU can customize the number of many S&M actions (Resources view's slot actions and others):

This section is automatically created for you. *Quit REAPER* then just change the number of slots/actions (none: 0, max: 99).
An example (w/ the list of current configurable actions and their default numbers) is at http://reaper.mj-s.com/NbOfActions.txt.

Jeffos, I tried and tried and failed miserably...
[NbOfActions] is not in the S&M.ini file, so I added it
at the end and S&M_ADD_TRTEMPLATE=16 in the next line.
Opened Reaper, no new actions. Also tried various other
combinations of square brackets and these strings, seemed
wrong anyways as they were deleted after closing reaper.
So, what would be the correct code please?

Reaper had to run and be closed once with the new SWS version installed to make the new entries visible in SWS.ini.
Maybe it's just that, Eric? I just added some slots to one of them and they show up properly in the action list Nice.

Hey guys,
nevermind, I was running an "old" build #24...
Some random insults welcome!
PS.: this is brilliant, not cluttering the action list
but give the user ability to easily extend it. Great
to see Reaper philosophy here, good job guys!

Yup, #34. Hopefully that's the last bug in the OSX cycle editor window.

so dose this mean SWS2 is ready to go main stream?
seeing as SWS1 can crash R4!
Thank You every one involved!!
Reaper - SWS is not the host i love & promote!
IMVHO there should be a option during install to install the latest stable SWS extension & it should be enabled by default!

many awesome things!
my only teeny suggestion:
I miss the way item/project/track notes use to work... I don't like how it centers and sizes it to the window now... I wish there was a couple of settings for it to use whatever alignment/size you want.

Perhaps a blatant link on the SWS website leading to this SWS WIKI page would be useful to others as well; somewhere on the "manual" page or in the menubar.
Thanks again to all, for your help and these extensions.

Posted v2.0.0 #35, or maybe 2.1rc1 The code is ready, but I have some website/help doc work before I pull the trigger. This week, hopefully.
Issue 332: OSX: Fixed cycle action editor -- now replaced with a basic "create cycle action" modal dialog box. The dialog box can be opened from the actions list (there are 3 "create cycle action" actions) but not from the main "Extensions" menu like on Windows.
Issue 335: OSX: Fixed crash when starting Reaper with Notes/Help window previously opened
Added actions:
+SWS/AW: Paste (pastes intelligently obeying "trim behind" mode to include empty space)
+SWS/AW: Insert click track (inserts a new track named "Click" with a click source)
+SWS/AW: Toggle click track mute (intelligently mutes the click track if it exists, or toggles the built in metronome if there is no click track)

Will this eventually change, or will "my people" never be freed?
EDIT: Just noticed that this is problematic because you can't open the actions window in OSX while the cycle action window is open in front. Hence, no getting the command ID unless you plan everything in advance and write it down.
Not the end of the world, just a sliver.

Well, my friend, this is a temporary solution to make the feature at least work. We know it's not the best. Really at the heart of the issue is that getting at the actions list in Windows is a hack, one that doesn't work at all on OSX. Once the Reaper boys are kind enough to give us full access to the action database from the API, we'll be able to add this back, and code up a few other cool features, too!

Hear hear. If only there would be as much interest for the register-actions-to-the-list-sections problems as there is for theme related "Meh, lookz fugly" issues...

Those dev guys are so mean. I see them all the time, standing outside the corner store, wearing their Reaper leather jackets, and kicking kittens and small children as they walk by. They're an unruly bunch and I fear that we may never see this code released. Why must they be so cruel?

The SWS v2 / Reaper v4 period is now over, so I've officially released SWS v2.1. (Identical to v2.0.0 #35)
Enjoy! I will start a new general forum thread outlining the new v2 features soon.
EDIT: Many, many thanks to everyone for their help in testing, and especially Jeffos for his extremely large contributions!

Question: the google code sws site says:
"Zipped versions of the pages and files associated with this group will be available for download until August 31, 2011. After this date, this feature and the zip file downloads will be turned off permanently"
Are you moving away?
