Default Snap to Key - Highlight Scale Note Rows in Midi Editor

.
Snap to Key - Highlight Scale note Rows in Midi Editor.

If you need a pic I can do this but I think its pretty clear.

There could be a check box next to Snap to Key.

That could probably be best available as a Walter option.

The colouring could be indepent of the sannping feature. So you can stick easily to the key, but still use altered notes.

Instead of the colouring the piano roll could also hide all notes that are not within the scale.

Default Add and remove note rows From Scale

.
Masi - Thanks for your input. It would be good to be able to add and remove rows. However it could be useful to use snap to key as one way of quickly adding scale highlights to note rows.

Im not sure how your idea would fit in with this. Perhaps someone has an idea?

Digging up this thread as I was hoping this would be added to v6;

Since the functionality is largely implemented (different key maps, and "Key snap" itself), please enhance it to:
"Key highlight" with optional "Snap" functionality (and even a "hide rows not in key" option, as suggested).
And at the same time enable highlighting the row in the midi editor itself, the piano keys are not quite clear enough compared.

As a side-effect this could potentially make Reaper even more accessible for new users to music making in general.

Thank you!
