Default SOLVED

Howdy, love your sequencer but sometimes I feel that you make it as user unfriendly as possible lol, everyone whines for a "merge takes" option but why doesn't it exist yet?

I often record my chords progressions in several takes, it's such a major annoyance to cut/paste them atm, please make a "merge takes" option available. One click et voilà.

I also need to figure out how to punch-in recording for MIDI tracks, this should be easy but like many things that are so easy in Cubase it requires quite a bit of googling on your forum to make it happen in Reaper I guess.

Thanks in advance,

Touché thanks a lot, so "merge takes" is called "Explode all takes in place" in the Reaper world, talk about making things complicated on purpose.

not quite. they don't merge till you glue them, you are exploding them so they can be treated as an aggregate and then glue them if I'm understanding right.

I had two takes and "Explode all takes in place" merged them, no gluing was required
