Audio interface sample rate not turning back to its former status
1. Lets say I have the sample rate in my audio interface controller set to 44100.
2. I create a new Reaper project.
3. I go to project settings and I force the project sample rate to work at 96000 because my source material is in that sample rate.
4. I work in the project till I'm done, and I close Reaper.
5. My audio interface sample rate remains 96000 in its controller.
I think it should come back to its former sample rate (44100 in this example) as Reaper is no longer forcing it to be in 96000 or whatever sample rate I was using in a project.
I think, Reaper forces it once when selecting that in the prefs and hittin apply and the driver remembers that from that point on.
So the driver never got the message, that reverting back to 44100 is now possible.
Means, you probably need to reset it to 44100 by hand.
Yes, that's what I did, but I thought the logical system was that the interface just came back from "slavery" once its "master" is dead. But of course it can be set again in the original sample rate by hand.
