Good on you! It is so helpful in the long run. A number of years ago, I had always stopped when I made a mistake, then I found out that I couldn't really play from beginning to end of most any song (by myself) because of that habit. So I started forcing myself to play to the end no matter what, now it's the opposite, I sort of can't not play to the end.
The result over time is "one go's" that are much more consistent and tend to sound better than hack jobs of punches. There will always be some punches somewhere, that's normal; it's the ability to reduce them to a fix here and there instead of patchwork of 100 tries sliced and diced all over the place.
Oh, yea, great job on the tune. Is that a Charvel? Have we discussed this before? I had a 1987 Model 6 back in the day but unfortunately sold it around 2000.
