Default [Solved] Added latency when opening VSTi GUI

Hello,

I'm having an issue with Amplitube and Maschine and many other plugins. When I have the GUI open there's no latency, and when I close it it keeps being fine. But when I open the GUI of said plugins again, there's a noticeable added latency. In order to make it disappear, I need to reset the Buffer Size in my interface again. It happened in my old laptop as well as in my new Ryzen 7 Zen 3 based PC.

Is this a known issue with a known solution?

Thanks for the replies.

I actually figured it out and wanted to share the solution I found for future reference.

After some research, I discovered that it's quite a common problem amongst users of my interface: Tascam US-16X08. The consensus online is "good interface, crappy drivers". I was almost ready to give up on it but today I decided to try out different settings in the REAPER's preference window. The one that did the trick was unticking "bypass audio when opening plugin GUI". Can't remember if it's on by default or if I changed it sometime in the past.

It now works really well!
