Default V. 6.25 causes Win10 crash (blue screen)

Steps to reproduce:

- Start Reaper 6.25
- Use ASIO (USB Driver) Device for Input
- Turn off the Device (=> Driver unloads)
- Reaper shows ASIO Driver Error and right after that Windows 10 (current version) crashes with blue screen and then restarts.

This happens only when Reaper is using the device. Other Audio Software using this device has no problems.

I tried unplugging my interface twice, once with REAPER idle and another in playback mode, both times REAPER popped up a dialog box, "Error opening device", so I casually close the dialog, no problems here.

A blue screen is usually related to a driver issue, look in Windows Event Viewer to see if it reported anything related to that, the more info you can provide for the devs the better. Check that your ASIO driver, OS, etc, are all up to date too might help, Good Luck!

Thank you for your reply.

I tried again now unplugging the device. Same problem:

- First Reaper shows a dialog:

Error initializing ASIO driver
The following MIDI inputs could not be opened
Line 6 POD Go
The following MIDI outputs could not be opened
Line 6 POD Go

- Then if I close the dialog (or just wait) I get the blue screen wth error code:
PFN_LIST_CORRUPT
The Windows Event Log has no usefull information (only critical error with unexpected shutdown)

I've the latest update for the Line 6 POD Go drivers.

I know this points to a driver error, but the event only occures when Reaper is running. Normally I can just unplug or turn off the device with no problems.

- Reaper 6.25 x64
- Win10 (latest updates)
- Line 6 POD Go - ASIO drivers with MIDI in/outputs (latest updates)

Hi Marcus slim chance you see this resurrected old thread, but any chance you ever got anywhere? I’m having the same issues with Helix Floor. I’ve already done uninstall/reinstall of Reaper, Helix drivers, etc etc. It even happened once after unplugging Helix from the USB and then re-opening Reaper, before I could change the ASIO to my other interface. Can’t do any recording through the Helix at all with this happening.
