Default Sample rate issue recording with Fast Track Pro

Hey folks, just wondering if you had any advice...

I have started a recording project in reaper using a Fast Track Pro with a Mac. I thought I was recording at 48kHz as that is what the project was set to in Reaper. After bouncing a short sample I realised the pitch was raised. I checked in Audio-Midi settings and the Fast Track Pro was permenantly set to 44.1kHz.

So it seems I have recorded 44.1kHz audio into a 48kHz project... The only way I can hear the original pitch is by listening through the Fast Track on Reaper with headphones.

So my question is: Is the recording wasted? Do I need to start again recording at 44.1kHz or is there a way to preserve the pitch of my files?

Thanks in advance!
